Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
The Nero Blanco Group acknowledges its responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of its business and supply chains.
For the purposes of this statement, the “Nero Blanco Group” means Nero Blanco IT Limited, Declaration Software Ltd and Nero Blanco Inc and all of its current and future subsidiaries, affiliated companies and other entities that adopt this statement (each a “Group Company”).
The Nero Blanco Group will not tolerate or condone any policy, practice or conduct that constitutes modern slavery or human trafficking within any Group Company or in any organisation with which we do business.
Modern Slavery
Modern slavery is a serious violation of human rights and has significant consequences for the health, wellbeing and dignity of those affected. It is an exploitative crime that may involve physical, psychological, financial or other forms of coercion.
Modern slavery is broadly defined as the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of children or adults through force, coercion, deception, abuse of vulnerability or other improper means for the purpose of exploitation. Under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, it includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.
About the Nero Blanco Group
Our business
The Nero Blanco Group provides IT, software, cloud and technology services that help organisations modernise their technology environments and achieve successful business outcomes.
Our Group Companies support customers through technology consulting, migration, digital transformation, managed services and software solutions. While individual Group Companies may specialise in different areas, they all operate in accordance with the same ethical standards and governance principles.
Our supply chains
Our suppliers, contractors and business partners play an important role in our success. We expect every organisation we work with to demonstrate the same commitment to ethical business practices as the Nero Blanco Group.
Accordingly, we expect our suppliers to:
- never use forced, bonded or trafficked labour, or illegal child labour;
- ensure that all employment is freely chosen and entered into voluntarily;
- comply with all applicable employment laws relating to minimum age, wages, working hours, overtime, benefits and working conditions; and
- maintain appropriate procedures to identify and address the risks of modern slavery within their own businesses and supply chains.
Given the nature of our business, we currently assess the risk of modern slavery occurring within our operations and direct supply chains as relatively low. Nevertheless, we recognise that no organisation is immune from these risks and we continue to monitor, assess and manage them appropriately.
Our policies
The Nero Blanco Group maintains an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy which reflects our commitment to conducting business ethically, lawfully and with integrity.
The policy establishes systems and controls designed to identify, assess and mitigate the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our operations and supply chains.
All employees, officers, contractors, consultants and others working on behalf of a Group Company are expected to comply with this policy.
Continuous Improvement
The Nero Blanco Group is committed to continually improving its processes for identifying and managing the risks associated with modern slavery.
We will continue to:
- review and monitor our supplier base;
- undertake proportionate due diligence where appropriate;
- strengthen our policies and procedures as our business evolves; and
- promote awareness of modern slavery throughout the Group.
We remain committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our business or our supply chains.
